control room main

At the heart of Out Of Eden's control room is a 96 channel / 48 track Fairlight DREAM console with 64 tracks of expanded Pro Tools|24 MIXcube and Miller & Kreisel 5.1 Surround Monitoring.

Designed by Mike Gardner, the control room is a spacious 5.9 x 4.8 metres in size, and is flanked on the right by the Machine Room with natural daylight and on the left by the Vocal Booth. The feel of the Control Room is enhanced by marbled painting by Louise Young, Kentia Palms from New South Wales and ergonomics made possible only by the fact that the DREAM control surface is so compact.

The Machine Room with daylight is 2.5 x 1.5 metres in size and its proximity to the Control Room allows for fast and easy access to all machines and equipment. It also ensures that the audio signal path within the studio is kept to an absolute minimum.

The Vocal Booth is 2.8 x 2.5 metres in size and is in an 'L' shape - affording the artist performing in the booth a view of both the Control Room and daylight outside, helping them to keep in touch with the elements around them.
